The original barn that now houses the byre was built in 1953 to make daily life on the dairy farm a little easier for the family who began their story here on the prairies of Alberta.
It offered shelter for the cattle, comfort for the farmers, and a foundation of opportunity—much like Southern Alberta has offered so many over the years.
For decades, my dad dreamed of giving the barn a new purpose, though life and other priorities often set the idea aside. In 2024, after a good year and a long season of waiting, we finally chose to breathe new life into this place. Now, nearly 75 years later, the same barn that once supported a family’s livelihood has been reimagined as a space for Southern Alberta to gather, celebrate, and create lasting memories.
